Jacksons row held their Chanukah party on 27th December hosting a whole load of exciting activities for its members! The party was planned by the JR family group ledby Laura Goldman. Over 120 members were there. Kirsty Dickson ran the face painting stall, Rabbi Silverman hosted the talent completion with a special performance from Ewan Palfraymen on the guitar, Alexander Cohen was the star of the show with his epic DJ set- disco lights! Other stalls included cupcake & biscuit decoration with Joyce Walkden, crafts from Pamela Walker, and balloon modelling from Darren Veil. The highlight of the evening was the reddy bears picnic where all the children received a hand made teddy bear from one of the Shule’s oldest members Marrianne Phillips. Marianne is 93 years young and spent months hand making over 30 bears! To finish the evening Rabbi Silverman and trainee rabbi Robyn Ashworth Stein lit the menorah and filled the Alexander levy hall with light.
