We are delighted to welcome back  to JR, pianist Julia Chernyavsky with Connie Wei Wan (Viola) & Li Lu (Cello) to  perform a recital for us on Sunday 2nd September downstairs in the Alexander Levy Hall. Prior to the Recital with Julia & Friends, there will be a BAGEL BRUNCH at 12 noon, followed by a brief Rosh Hashana “Food for Thought Taster” with Rabbi Silverman.

Julia Chernyavsky
Julia is a professional pianist (MA MMus PhD), a graduate of the Moscow State Conservatoire. She runs music classes, works with soloists and choirs and gives solo performances in Manchester and Nottingham. Has been awarded prestigious fellowships by the Ministry for Culture of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Spivakov’s Fund and Vladimir Krainev’s Fund.  Also a laureate and a finalist of national and international music competitions.

Connie Wei Wan (Viola):
Originally from China, graduated in Central conservatory in Beijing, Royal Northern College of Music and Amsterdam Conservatory. Now based in Manchester also the founder and managing director of LeVii Academy

Li Lu (Cello):
Originally from China, Li Lu describes herself as a cellist with wings, an artist with a bow and an adventurer with a cello. Her performances were featured in a Sky Arts documentary Art of Survival (2011),reaching a vast audience in the UK and internationally. As a cello teacher, Li Lu enjoys working with young talents at the Chethams School of Music in Manchester.
