The BBC is delighted to invite you to take part in the Crossing Divides Festival at the BBC’s regional hub in Salford.  You will come away skilled in having conversations across divides, and the chance to practice this skill with someone with very different views.  This festival is a culmination of a year of the BBC Crossing Divides season, bringing people together in a fragmented world.  It will be a unique chance to learn how the BBC is hosting more of these conversations on air and encouraging reporters to incorporate this constructive approach in their stories, from the Director of BBC News & Current Affairs, Fran Unsworth.

As well as workshops, you will be hearing from inspiring speakers and experimenting with VR to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and other fun interventions to shift perceptions and engage with an alternative view.  A light lunch and tea will  be provided.
