The executives of Manchester Reform and Sha’arei Shalom in North Manchester have begun exploring possible merger. A union would seek to further promote the current dynamic Manchester Jewish community, and continue to liaise closely with our sister congregation Menorah. Final decision is subject to the approval by the Boards of both synagogues and its members at a General Meeting.

Rabbi Robyn said “The conversations, which are beginning, about joining together in a more intentional way, are so exciting. We have so much potential in Manchester in creating a strong, visible and proud progressive Jewish community, which attends to the needs of our diverse number of members. Joining resources, places, leaders and skills means the future is so bright.
